Managing chatbots
Each workspace can run one or more chatbots depending on your plan. Each bot has its own knowledge, widget keys, and settings.
Create a chatbot
Go to Chatbots → Create. Enter a name and website URL. The URL is used for widget domain verification and as context for crawlers.
Chatbot settings
- Bot name & company — Shown in the widget header and system prompts.
- Welcome message — First message visitors see when opening the chat.
- Default language — Primary language for replies and knowledge indexing.
- Widget appearance — Colors, position (bottom-left or bottom-right), launcher label, and powered-by toggle (plan permitting).
- Lead capture — Enable forms to collect name, email, or phone when enabled on your plan.
- Clear chat — Option to let visitors reset the session from the widget.
Status
Set a chatbot to active to accept widget traffic or inactive to pause responses without removing the embed code.
Preview
Use Preview to test the bot inside the console before deploying to production.
Permissions
Viewing chatbots requires the chatbots.view permission; creating and editing requires chatbots.manage. Owners and admins with manage access can delete bots and their knowledge.
